About the walk

Gwalior Fort and it's shifting thrones is an E-Heritage tour of Gwalior Fort. Here we will discuss the timeline of the Gwalior Fort along with the stories of succession and invasion by different rulers who have ruled the fort for over 1500 years and the contribution they have made to the heritage site of Gwalior fort in the form of temples, palaces, sculptures, stone inscriptions and stories. Gwalior fort is one among the oldest forts of the country. It has seen the rise of the rulers and decline of the dynasties; it has seen the invaders fighting for it and warriors dying for it. With the history of over 15 centuries Gwalior fort has been described as pearl among the fortresses of hind by Babur in his autobiography Baburnama. We will use the e-platforms to showcase the monuments while narrating their history through pictures and videos.
