The Chhatrapati Shivaji Vastu Sangrahalaya in Mumbai, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum, is one of the best museums in India. Designed by the well-known British architect George Wittet in the characteristic Indo-Saracenic style, this lofty edifice houses a rich collection of artefacts and antiquities ranging from prehistoric tools to modern paintings. This walk will include a visit to the main galleries of the museum, where the leader will explain the details about the artefacts on display.

  • Buses/taxis can be hired from Churchgate and the CSMT railway station. The participants will have to buy their own tickets to the museum, details of which are     
    • Indian Adult (above 12 years)- Rs 100/-          
    • Senior Citizen (Above 60years of age with valid I Card)- Rs. 75/-      
    • Foreign Adult (above 12 years)- Rs 650/-          
    • Children (5-12 years)- Rs. 30/           
    • College Students with a valid I- Card- Rs. 50/-      
    • Defence Personnel (with service I-Card) -Rs 60/-      
  •  Photography is allowed but with a charge: Without Tripod-Rs. 100/-to be borne by the participant. Selfie Sticks are not allowed inside the museum.
  • Carry drinking water and wear comfortable shoes. 
  • Parking is available.
